Spurs Reportedly Taking A Second Look At Former Target But It’ll Cost Us

|

Tottenham Hotspur fans are hoping it turns into a busy January transfer window for the club with clear problems in the first team squad, not helped by the recent injuries to Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko – and over the weekend it was being reported that we had sent scouts to watch Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara.

The 22-year-old was pretty heavily linked with an £18million switch to us last summer whilst he was still with Napoli, but obviously nothing came of that speculation and the Guinea international ended up at the Stadio Olimpico.

He has been a regular for Paulo Fonseca so far this year, making 13 starting appearances with three more from the bench.

Given the reports suggesting we are taking a closer second look at him, one thing is for sure, he’ll cost far more than the speculated £18million this time around.

With Sissoko out though, Victor Wanyama being out of favour and Tanguy Ndombele unfortunately having question marks above his head when it comes to his fitness, we might not have much of a choice.
