Spurs Reportedly On Alert As £33m Release Clause Is Revealed For Serie A Playmaker

|

We will only have to pay £33m (€38m) if we want to sign AC Milan playmaker Suso in the summer, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The release fee was set back in September when the Spaniard agreed a new contract at the San Siro, and his future at the Rossoneri is said to hinge on a meeting between his agent and his current club at the end of the season.

Suso’s representative Alessandro Lucci will hold talks with Milan’s hierarchy following the team’s final game of the campaign against Fiorentina on Sunday. During the discussions, La Gazzetta says a request could be made to leave the club.

If that does happen, the Serie A side will be powerless to do anything about it due to his buyout clause. The report doesn’t name the clubs interested in the 24-year-old but TMW  has named us as one of the clubs who will pursue him.

We could do with strengthening in the number ten role, and the attacking midfielder may be a useful option to take the strain off Christian Eriksen as our main playmaker. Whether the club would meet the release fee, it remains to be seen.
