Spurs Receive Annoying International Calls But This One Gets Applauded

|

International breaks often receive mixed reactions from Tottenham Hotspur fans, on the one hand it’s always good to see the recognition and international games can be a learning curve – even for established players – that help kick them on further but on the other hand, we want our players fit, and well rested to do battle for us.

That applies even more during the money-spinning pointless international friendlies that seem more designed to give FA bigwigs a chance to wig their bigs.

With Kieran Trippier’s withdrawal from the England set-up greeted with calls for more minor ‘knocks’ to be picked up this week by others, one Spurs call-up has been applauded and the lad has been wished well.

Paulo Gazzaniga’s stock at Spurs has rocketed this season, it’s been a long time coming for match minutes, Michel Vorm’s form helped prompt his involvement – as did injury – but the 26-year-old hasn’t let anyone down yet and he’s in the Argentine squad and plenty on social media are looking for him to secure their No 1 spot to aid him in his battle for ours.
