Spurs Open Pre-Season With Victory Over Juventus – The Pre-Season Match Thread

Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their pre-season campaign in the International Champions Cup with a positive victory over Juventus out in Singapore on Sunday.

As attentions turn to Manchester United, before we pivot to the Audi Cup and the tie with Real Madrid as we travel to Germany, the Juventus clash should certainly whet the appetite ahead of the 2019/20 Premier League campaign and the game held plenty of positives.

Erik Lamela (30), Lucas Moura (65) and Harry Kane (90+3) all got on the scoresheet to give us the 3-2 win but Kane’s effort as he lobbed Wojciech Szczesny deep in stoppage time will certainly take the headlines from the game.

Plenty of youngsters also got decent run-outs as fans continue to expect big things from Troy Parrott and Jack Roles (but they weren’t the only potential stars of the future on show) and it wasa debut for record signing Tanguy Ndombele.

Paulo Gazzaniga got an early chance to impress again as well with Hugo Lloris falling foul of a bout of tonsillitis, so all in a good weekend.
