Spurs Must Bury Boro But Will We – Match Thread

|

After a poor and frustrating start to the New Year with defeat to Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur get back on the horse this Sunday and we make the trip to Championship side Middlesbrough for our FA Cup third round clash.

Maybe a break from Premier League action is what we need, and it will give Jose Mourinho the opportunity to shake things up more but despite their struggles so far this year (16th place, eight wins from 26), Boro will raise their game for this one seeing us as a scalp they can take and there is an argument to be made that an FA Cup journey is even more important for the club this year given our league placing – when we think about European action next season.

Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the team, but I’d think we will see a bit more of Troy Parrott in some capacity, especially if Harry Kane is officially ruled out for this one following his injury substitution in the last match, as most expect.
