As per a report from BBC Sport, Ben Davies is set to undergo a hernia operation and that will leave the Welsh full-back out of action for the summer internationals.
Wales continue their EURO 2020 challenge this summer but will be without the left-back as he has got a hernia that needs to be sorted out via an operation.
It’s certainly a blow but, from a selfish point of view, it’s the best time for him to be missing from action.
Davies might not be a guaranteed starter at the moment but he is certainly a useful player and not having him available during the campaign would have been a nuisance.
So, after the Champions League final, he will go under the knife.
However, he should be getting back up to speed if not fully fit come August and that is a good thing as we look to kick off the 2019/20 season strongly and close the gap to the likes of Manchester City in the table.
