Spurs Man Takes MotM Following Chelsea Clash But Plenty Of Fans Will Disagree

|

There were a number of strong performances from the Tottenham Hotspur boys as we took derby victory over Chelsea on Saturday evening.

A deserved 3-1 scoreline came courtesy of goals from Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min and we’d put the match beyond them by the 54th minute. If there was a disappointment, given it was more of a Spursy type performance that we’ve come to expect under manager Mauricio Pochettino, it was in not keeping the clean sheet but you can’t have everything.

Harry Kane stole the show and took the star man award from website Whoscored with a score of 8.80, but Alli and Christian Eriksen also respectively polled 8.43 and 8.40.

The top five performers on the day were completed by Sonny (7.75) and Moussa Sissoko (7.30) and even Serge Aurier helped himself to 7.16.

Given the performances of Alli and Eriksen, in particular, I can imagine plenty of fans will have them as their picks following the game and not Kane, but after a showing like that, there’s a strength behind the line of thought of ‘who actually cares’.
