Reports today are saying that Spurs man-mountain and captain Ledley King could miss the World Cup with a broken ankle.
Early reports were saying the break was just suspected, but Spurs have now confirmed he has fractured the fourth metatarsal of his left foot.
The 25-year-old defender picked up the injury in the 1-0 win over Everton. Shows the strength of the guy, he carried on playing until the 90th minute.
Sven favoured King because he could play in the centre of defence or as a holding midfielder. Lets hope he makes a speedy recovery. As he was already carrying a few injuries through the season, it doesn’t look good. The official site says that early indications suggest the recovery period will be around 3-4 weeks.
