Marseille winger Florian Thauvin is being tracked by the club, according to RMC Sport.

The former Newcastle player has had a superb season in France, having scored 26 goals and contributed 18 assists in 54 appearances.

His performances have also come to the attention of Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, who are said to be watching the 25-year-old.

Currently, Thauvin is believed to be keen on staying at Marseille. The last time he left the club was his ill-fated spell at the Magpies.

The attacking midfielder joined the North East club in 2015 for £15m but was sent back on loan to France within six months, with the player having failed to settle in England. He made the permanent switch back last summer.

The winger has been selected in France’s squad for next month’s World Cup squad, and the club will likely monitor his displays at the tournament, before making any decision on a bid for the player.

  • Thanks for article White Hart, we are linked with so many people at the mo its hard to separate the noise from the real possibilities, I am waiting for The Oracle to post about Leandro Damiao PMSL ROFL LOL

  • I think that we have enough front 3 behind Harry players, I love SON, wouldn’t mind Martial or Zaha or Sessegnon or Thauvin to join him, will be interesting to see what Lucas can do once he has had a full pre season to bed in. If we play 433 then we could have SON on the left and LUCAS on the right, sounds good to me. COYS

  • Andyid…a bit lonely mate, lol. no worries about our Poch, just another knife out by the Spurs hating media. COYS

  • Pompey Yid, it looks as though the MP “rumour” is now more than that, the thorough bred outlets like Sky, and the BBC. There is no smoke without fire, and whilst there is no suggestion that he is going, we have to accept the interest in him exists.
