Spurs In Talks Over 28 y/o Midfielder, As 25 y/o Says His Goodbyes

|

With some speculation earlier in the week suggesting that Belgian side Club Brugge would step up their interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama, those claims have now grown stronger.

Belgian Sides Interest In Spurs Player Hinges On CL Involvement – But I Don’t Think It Does

The initial speculation suggested that Brugge would only firm up their interest if they progressed further into the Champions League this year, but given their transfer dealings over the summer, that didn’t quite ring true to me if their interest in the 28-year-old was real.

Sky Sports are now one of many claiming that firm talks over a deal are now ongoing between both sides.

They don’t state whether it would be a loan, loan to buy, or a straight permanent deal, but given how Wanyama has slipped down the pecking order with injuries seriously affecting his form, a fresh break would certainly seem to be in the best interests of all here.

They also report that Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is on the verge of leaving the club, with a believed £4.6million fee agreed with Turkish side Besiktas – they also state he is in Turkey undergoing a medical. Given the loss that represents on what we paid originally, it’s also said that we have a 50% future sale clause involved.

And it appears Nkoudou has already confirmed the move himself with a departure message to the fans.

Shame it didn’t work out given his early promise, but not all deals do unfortunately.
