Both us and Huddersfield Town are eyeing a move for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic, according to SportBild.

The Croatian international is reportedly valued at €30m (£26.2m) but the German club are said to be reluctant to sell the player this summer.

Rebic is actually only on loan at Frankfurt from Fiorentina currently but he will make his move permanent on July 1st when he could then be sold on.

The 24-year-old usually plays on the left wing, and he had a pretty unspectacular season in the Bundesliga last campaign. He managed just six goals and three assists in 26 league games.

His most notable performance came in the German Cup final last month when his two goals helped his side to a 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich.

With the club reportedly pursuing other wide options such as Anthony Martial and Wilfried Zaha, our interest in Rebic may mean we are considering going for a cheaper alternative.

  • Not a cheaper alternative but an alternative. Seeing as how neither Zaha (whom I don’t rate at all) and Matial are available to us as the clubs have repeatedly made known. We are looking at a lot of people apparently. Most of it is bull.

  • nah hes a frggn beast i supported spurs in the time my compratiot Luka Modric was playing this guy is a real impact playwr wild but also makes stuff happen grab him hes 10
times better than half these big name brazilians and other foreign players hes aggressive detemined and runs hard all day serious get him now.

  • Here we go again, yet another player linked to Spurs. We are going to get our business done early, or so we were told, yet it is now June 22nd and still nothing, unlike of course some of our rivals for top 4 who are merrily signing players. The World Cup is a poor excuse for hampering our business, or does it only affect Spurs. A more logical reason for inactivity, is that we are preparing for our annual assault on the “bargain basement” market in the last couple of days of the window. We will never learn, all that is left by then are the dregs like Sissoko who nobody else wants.

  • Poch has said he doesn’t want to buy anyone playing at the world cup. Prices will just be even more inflated.

The only one I have seen who I would love back is Modric, but we knew his quality already.
