Spurs Go Down In Premier League Goalscoring History – Something Worth Smiling About

|

When young Argentine centre-half Juan Foyth found the back of the net for Tottenham Hotspur in the 66th minute of the clash against Crystal Palace ahead of the November international break, a little slice of history was created.

The 20-year-old made his own history on the day as he bagged his maiden senior goal for us following his arrival from Estudiantes and he’s certainly come in for praise for a variety of reasons since.

The goal though also made him the 146th Spurs player to score in the Premier League since the rebrand, and we now boast the highest number of different scorers in the top-flight’s history.

Football did, of course, exist before it became all about money but on a dull international break where there’s little going on, outside of the normal raft of specious transfer rumours that constantly do the rounds, that put a small smile on my face when I stumbled over the information.
