On Tuesday afternoon Tottenham Hotspur moved swiftly into gear to confirm the speculation linking us with both Leeds United’s Jack Clarke and Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.
18-year-old Clarke has long featured on the rumour mill and as the weekend progressed it simply seemed a matter of time before he would be announced as one for the future and as expected he has been loaned back to Leeds for the 2019/20 campaign so he can continue his development under Marcelo Bielsa and improve his starting game time.
✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Clarke from Leeds United.
He has agreed a contract with the Club until 2023 and will return to the Championship side on loan for the 2019/20 season.📲 Get the latest on our Spurs Official app 👇#WelcomeJack ⚪️ #COYS

The Ndombele saga has been even more long winded and we had the obligatory wibble of Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas to contend with, but I was close…I expected the signing to go through on Monday!

Although Clarke is definitely one for the future, the 60million Euro Ndombele is very much for the now and if fans were looking for Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino to make a statement signing, I would very much imagine this has ticked that box for them.
So, who’s next?
