Spurs enjoyed a bye in the FA Cup fifth round tie as Fulham failed to turn up at Craven Cottage.

Fulham, who had promised to brush Spurs aside with a physical approach actually allowed Spurs to enjoy a stroll at the Cottage this afternoon and after just six minutes it was game over with a beautifully volleyed shot (from a Mido head on) by my man-of-the-match Robbie Keane.

Paul Robinson made two good saves and gave Mido a good rollicking for a pass back that put England’s No 1 under pressure, apart from that Fulham seldom threatened and Spurs simply eased through to the quarter finals.

A second volley (again from a Mido flick on) on the 68th minute put the game out of Fulham’s reach and then Berbatov came on and scored a brace proving once again what a quality striker we have on our hands.

Now lets transfer this form into the league and all will be well again!

In more depressing news, it has been revealed today that Wembley might not be ready for the FA Cup final in May as the safety checks required before the woefully delayed ground can be opened may not be done in time.

Fancy a trip to Cardiff instead?
