Spurs Dealt Setback In Battle To Sign Championship Starlet

|

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has attempted to put to an end to speculation about Ryan Sessegnon’s future after stating that the Cottagers won’t be selling the 18-year-old this summer.

Speaking in an interview with the Times, the American said he wants the winger to help keep his side in the top-flight next season:

“We don’t want Sessegnon leaving. I don’t think he wants to go. He’s going to be at Fulham for the coming year, leading us into the Premier League.”

The Evening Standard reports that we do retain an interest in the winger, but Khan’s interest in buying Wembley could end the club’s hopes of signing him.

The American businessman is keen to purchase the stadium from the FA to set up a permanent home for his NFL franchise the Jaguars, who currently play in Jacksonville.

We have a competing interest in establishing another permanent NFL team at our new stadium, which the Standard believes could cause problems in negotiations for players between Fulham and us in the future.

In any case, it looks as though we have moved onto other targets for now with the Daily Telegraph reporting we have turned our attention to Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic.
