It’s been a busy week at Tottenham Hotspur when it comes to our Academy setup as we’ve already seen the club announce the departure of some youngsters when their contracts naturally expired this summer.
“Always Gave His All” – Released Spurs Man Takes The Praise From These Fans
The good news for fans was that extremely highly rated prospect, Jack Roles, had signed the new deal that he was offered and we’d also extended the spell of Japhet Tanganga.
There was also confirmation that we’d completed the deal for 17-year-old Notts County youngster Kion Etete with it known that he had already been on a trial spell with us as we looked over his potential for future development.
With Spurs already having a good Academy setup and many of our homegrown players making the grade in the senior setup, hopefully, Etete will become a worthy addition and soon work his way into the same sort of category as Troy Parrott.
Albeit one for the future, fans are certainly hoping for the best.
Finally a signing!!!!! ????????????

Kion Etete signs for Spurs from Notts county. Already made his professional debut. 17.5 yrs and 6ft 1’. Good physicality about him and pacey. With Troy Parrott we have 2 very promising 17 yr old strikers now ????⚽️ pic.twitter.com/nG0LDl8Cli

Good edition to the academy by snapping up Kion Etete. Already made his pro debut for Notts County. Him and Troy should score a boatload next season.

Would just like to welcome Kion Etete to the spurs u23 squad. I know it’s not a senior professional signing but he’s a real talent by the sounds of it and it’s great to finally see some activity in any market from us. Hopefully this is the start of a chain of signings… #COYS pic.twitter.com/IeJR7uEqpA
