Spurs manager Martin Jol has admitted he would love to sign goalkeeper Ben Foster and bring him to White Hart Lane.

The Manchester United player who has yet to make a senior debut for the Reds, is currently on loan at Watford and has risen up the goalkeeping ranks with some top performances and has now forced his way into the England squad.

According to Martin Jol, he has his eye on him.

‘I feel now that Paul (Robinson) is the number one in England but you have to prove that every game, that is the problem. Foster is a talent. He’s great, I would love to have him in the next couple of years as a second goalkeeper. I want to have the best goalkeepers at this club.’

Tut tut, not really meant to talk about other clubs players like that BMJ!

He also says of England’s Number One, ‘When we play well, Paul plays well. He’s number one, and he’s a great keeper.’
