Spurs Among 4 Teams To Send Scouts To Watch Portuguese Playmaker In Action

|

We will be keeping a close eye on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in the derby against Benfica this weekend, according to A Bola.

The Portuguese publication believes that four teams, including us, Liverpool, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid will send scouts to see the 23-year-old in action on Saturday evening.

He has been in excellent form so far this campaign with 16 goals and 20 assists in 53 appearances, but it’s believed representatives from interested clubs are keen to see the player perform in more intense surroundings.

The playmaker is said to have been watched on a number of occasions, but teams are seemingly yet to be completely convinced he’s capable of playing at the top level.

Fernandes has a €100million release clause which expires in June. Sporting were highly unlikely to get anywhere near that figure for him, but they will have complete control from July onwards on how much he will be sold for.
