Spanish publication reveal if Barcelona could sign highly-rated Tottenham forward

|

According to Sport (h/t Sport Witness), Barcelona will not consider making a move for Harry Kane. Despite reports to the contrary from the English media, it appears the Catalan giants have no desire to replace Luis Suarez with the 25-year-old. Tottenham have no plans to sell Kane either, so this rumour has no legs and is unlikely to go anywhere.

With Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen being such poor back-ups to Kane, Spurs stand nothing to gain from his sale – even if it was for £200m. Tottenham are currently third in the Premier League table with 36 points from 16 games, boasting five wins from their last half a dozen outings. They’re two points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea and fifth-placed Arsenal too.

Kane has contributed heavily in their success this season, scoring and creating 11 goals in 16 league outings. He’s been on fire in Europe too, netting four goals in five Champions League games. The English international has made 234 appearances in all competitions (153 goals) since making his Tottenham debut in 2011 and is one of Mauricio Pochettino’s most important players.

Son Heung-min appears to be the only one who can replace Kane up front, so Spurs won’t leave themselves short in attack just to make a fast buck.
