Son Heung-min posts 2-word update as he shows Spurs fans what he’s been up to in South Korea

|

Son Heung-min was granted leave by Tottenham earlier this week, along with Steven Bergwijn, and he has been making the most of his time back in his native South Korea.

This period without football has suited some players more than others, Son included, as it grants him more time to recover from the broken arm he suffered in February, rather than trying to rush back to fitness.

The same can be said of Harry Kane, and our squad should be all the better for it, particularly Son who may now have a chance to reconnect with friends and family he rarely sees.

Is Son Heung-min our most important player?

Yes

No

Son has been using the time away efficiently, too, working hard to maintain his fitness with the aim of being ready to compete at his highest level when football returns.

He has displayed a variety of home exercises which fans watching could adopt and emulate, though it is good for us just to get an update on his fitness status.

Like many others he has shared his hope for us all to stay safe, which is also nice to see, and it is clear that the forward reaching out has had a great effect, with more than 800,000 likes on his post.

The sooner he and the team are back in action the best for everyone, as I am sure we are all eager to see if he can get back to his high standards.
