Although Tottenham Hotspur Academy graduate Troy Parrott continues to wait for his official debut at the club, fans have certainly seen what he is capable of doing in front of goal in our youth setup and of course, during the pre-season build up as he took to the pitch for manager Mauricio Pochettino in some of our high profile friendlies – and the 17-year-old certainly took his chance to impress.
With plenty expecting a full international call up for the Republic of Ireland during the September international break, Parrott didn’t quite get that with Mick McCarthy rightly showing patience given his age and relative experience, but he was rewarded with a maiden call up to their Under 21 squad in recognition of his progress.

Making his debut on Friday against Armenia, he found the net to return all three points and although he dropped to the bench for Tuesday’s clash with Sweden, when he was introduced he helped himself to a brace – and his second goal is worth watching again and the first isn’t too shabby either.
What a player ????????
