Spurs Word On The Tweet

‘So lucky to be alive and see him play’ – Fans react to striker’s landmark goal against West Ham

Harry Kane became Tottenham’s third all-time leading goalscorer as he headed in Serge Aurier’s cross against West Ham on Saturday to secure all three points for Spurs as they beat the Hammers 3-2.

The goal was Kane’s 175th goal for Spurs in all competitions and his 132nd in the Premier League.

Kane was the first player to reach 100 Premier League goals for Spurs in 2018, but he is still some way off the second all-time scorer, Bobby Smith, who scored 208 goals, and top scorer, Jimmy  Greaves, who scored 266 goals for the club.

Fans have been reacting to the club captain’s landmark goal recently and have been full of praise for the England international.

Some fans believe their current talisman will surpass Booby Smith’s and Jimmy Greaves’ goal records without any problem if he continues his fine form.

Spurs fans are grateful to have Harry Kane in their side and he is certainly a club asset. The question remains whether he will be at the club to reach the landmark scoring record, or if he will transfer before he has the chance to beat Jimmy Greaves’ long-standing record.
