The Evening Standard are reporting that we will make Manchester United striker Anthony Martial our top transfer target this summer.
Journalist Dan Kilpatrick reports Mauricio Pochettino is keen not to sign another out and out striker as an understudy for Harry Kane and wants a forward who can play right across the frontline. The Frenchman fits the criteria.
On Twitter, fans were divided on whether the 22-year-old would be a good fit:
Sissoko 2.0 not Prem quality.. reliant on strength and bumbling through challenges for creative input and a cheeky lay off here and there. Leave this one alone Levy..

Are you mental? Boy has so much talent.

No one said the same about Sissoko. Dont even compare the two.

A player that wants to express himself, yes please!

What if we swap Martial for Toby? I wouldn’t like it.

Verdict:
Poch is excellent with young players, and would certainly get more out of the France international than Jose Mourinho has up until now. His wages of £65k a week would also not prove a stumbling block, and the fact that he can play wide left or on the right of a three-man attack would also prove useful.
For that reason, Martial would not simply be Harry Kane’s understudy as he could also cover for the likes of Son Heung-Min. Much may depend, however, on the amount United will demand for the forward.
