Spurs Word On The Tweet

‘Sick of hearing his name’ – These Spurs fans are fed up with outcast who has ‘serious issues’

|

You’d think after Danny Rose left Tottenham in the January window that the England international would be done talking about Spurs, but that doesn’t’ seem to be the case.

In an interview with The Mirror, the left-back revealed he is looking for a fresh start to life in football after joining Newcastle United last month, and Rose admitted that once Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by the club in November the defender knew that his time with the club would be coming to an end shortly.

Will Rose leave Tottenham next summer?

Yes

No

And these comments didn’t sit too well with Tottenham supporters on social media, who were annoyed with Rose’s attitude and stance towards Spurs over the past few weeks which have seen the 29-year-old become a much-despised figure at the club.

Here’s what a number of Tottenham fans had to say about Rose’s comments on Twitter…

It is unlikely that the Spurs outcast will remain at the club for long in the summer transfer window.

Rose apparently lacked the imagination and education (because he certainly didn’t lack the money) to find interest in other things while he was out injured for a year, a couple of years back. Did Poch forgive him spouting off to the newspapers and anyone else listening, during that layoff, that he was ‘underpaid’ and that Spurs were recruiting poorly (even if he had a point)? I don’t know, but it was ignorant of Rose, disloyal and stupid! Maybe he was jealous that Walker had moved to City? Either way, the man lost his mojo and never got back to his brilliant best (with Walker or Tripps balancing the other flank) in that ‘even better’ last WHL season, where we managed 86 points, following the huge disappointment of the fluke (Leicester) season.
I praise Rose for the good times he did give us, and I wish him well at Newcastle (my second team owing to my Geordie dad), but I resent him for the chip on the shoulder he’s seemingly had at Spurs since. If he had anything about him at all, he would have fought damned hard to feature in Mourinho’s plans, not simply say he could see himself going in when the new manager came in. Does that mean he thinks Poch would have persisted with him? Because I don’t think so.
I’m glad he’s gone, and it’s a shame it’s not yet ‘permanent’. He leaves me with some great memories of him and Walker (two, close-to world class, full/wing backs marauding down the flanks) providing great balance, now all but gone, to what was a top team. But he should shut up now, because we are all remembering the whinges, and that’s no legacy to leave!
And one other thing, can all the nonsense surrounding Gareth Bale’s return to Spurs just bloody stop now!! I have been sick of hearing his name, for the past two years, in connection with a return! He ain’t coming back despite all the blogs, newspaper reports, Madrid leaks, pundits etc., saying it’s possible/likely. As with Rose, he’s provided great memories for us, but all I’m interested in now, as the Welshman’s career winds down, is how he gets on in matches for RM and Wales. And when China gobbles him up, all current interest in his career will end completely.

When will Rose learn to shuhhh…. He’s his own worse enemy. If he doesn’t stop talking nonsense to the press, Newcastle fans and players will get fed up with him.
I just hope Jose wake up and get Spurs back on track for the remaining 12games by starting this Sunday
