“Shame, I Have Faith In Him” “Has An Opportunity” – These Spurs Fans React To Potential Injury Blow

|

Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier had been winning some praise of late from fans following his showings but in last night’s EFL Cup third round clash with Watford at Stadium: MK, the 25-year-old picked up a clear injury towards the end of the game and many now feel that given the games we have coming up, he will be a definite loss for us.

With fans torn over Kieran Trippier’s relative form this season, Aurier had reestablished himself as real competition and an alternative option but manager Mauricio Pochettino explained post game that he had suffered a quad issue and ‘it’s not a good thing’.

Plenty are obviously expecting a lengthy layoff now.

As the above social media comments suggest, whilst a number are disappointed with the news, others feel it’s the perfect chance for youngster Kyle Walker-Peters to take his shot in defence as understudy as big things are expected from that man as he continues his own development in the game.
