Spanish side Sevilla, Tottenham’s opponents in the UEFA Cup tomorrow night, are trying to win their own treble, which could play into the hands of Spurs over two legs.

Not only are Sevilla trying to become only the second side to successfully defend the UEFA Cup, but they also have the chance to win a Spanish double.

Currently Sevilla sit 2 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, while they are also in the Semi Final of the Kings Cup.

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos has already fielded a weakened side against Osasuna in the league, so he isn’t against using squad players to try and continue their chances of a treble.

Ramos told the press: ‘I have always said we have a big enough squad and those that played were in the best condition to compete. Those left out in the main had midweek games last week, ‘I don’t know if playing in three competitions is getting to us but we will give our all to achieve what we can.’

Fingers crossed Ramos opts to play another weakened team, giving Spurs the chance to get something out of the game in Spain and bring them back to the Lane with a great chance of progressing into the next stage.
