With Tottenham Hotspur’s earlier decision to furlough non-playing staff and effectively burden the taxpayer with the cost, whilst continuing to pay players and Directors their full wage, the reaction amongst the fanbase was varied, but strong.
There are those fans who simply cannot stomach the decision, and others, who feel we have little choice given the position football find itself in at this moment in time.

Spurs aren’t alone in attracting significant criticism for the move, as we aren’t the only club to have taken such a measure, but following the reaction in their own fanbase, Liverpool performed a u-turn on their decision recently.
Will Spurs Perform A U-Turn Here?
They'll Have To
They Should But They Won't
With no agreement for players yet and nonsense from both the Premier League and the PFA, the timing for Spurs couldn’t have been worse given our profit announcement and confirmation of Daniel Levy’s millions and especially in light of Liverpool’s change of heart, pressure is mounting for a similar decision from White Hart Lane.
Please @SpursOfficial and do the right thing to reverse #furlough please.@NHSuk #COYS

@SpursOfficial pay the staff ffs. How can you expect the government to pay 80% of their wage with everything going on. But we spend millions on players like stambouli, Fazio, chriches, Paulinho and so on….. #COYS #ENICOut

#DanielLevy sort this out please! There are some desperate people out there who need the taxpayers money more than #spurs #COYS.

Have you decided to back track on the furghloning of staff yet Mr levy @SpursOfficial #COYS #thfc

To my beloved @SpursOfficial
Please implore your owner and directors to see sense. The fact Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy can even have the audacity to consider the furlough scheme is not only shameful and disgusting, but also deeply embarrassing for the club.#COYS #COVID19
