Second Most Touches & Joint Most Passes Sees Spurs Man Rightly Take MotM

|

It wasn’t a great day for Tottenham Hotspur as we made the trip last Sunday to Craven Cottage to face off against Fulham.

With injuries biting once more, manager Mauricio Pochettino was forced into a few changes for the game and Fernando Llorente didn’t have the impact he would’ve liked as although he did find the net, it was the wrong one.

Spurs fought back in an improved second half showing though and goals from Dele Alli and a stoppage-time effort from Harry Winks saw us take the win and all three points.

Statistics website Whoscored gave our late goalscorer their star man award for his efforts over the 90 minutes and the 22-year-old stormed to Man of the Match with a rating of 7.81.

Winks has 102 passes in the game, the most of anyone but Jan Vertonghen who was tied with him, but he also had the second most touches – loses out to Vertonghen who had two more.

A solid performance from the youngster and he’ll rightly take some praise.

Completing the top five best performers on the day were Danny Rose (7.45), Vertonghen (7.29), Hugo Lloris (7.11) and Kieran Trippier (7.06).
