Routledge Frustration

20 year old new boy Wayne Routledge has spoken of his deep frustration to his injury plagued first campaign with Spurs. He arrived in July only to facture his foot in the opening day victory v Pompey.

Routledge told the official site ‘It has been a very frustrating time for me. To come to a new club, start off well and then get injured is not ideal. Things are going quite well with the injury, though, and I can see light at the end of the tunnel,’

He added: ‘I’ve got to have another scan to see how well it is healing, but the signs are good and hopefully I will be back sooner than I thought. I’m in every day again now and starting to get back into the routine – looking to be back on the pitch soon. It was a good thing I caught it early but, in terms of playing, it has been devastating for me.’
