Roma’s Egypt international Mido has rejected a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn have had a 3.5 million pound offer for the striker, who spent last season on-loan at Tottenham, accepted by Roma.

Roma director general Daniele Prade was all ready to rubberstamp the sale before Mido dug in his heels: ‘I’m not interested in Blackburn. I want to stay in Rome and show that I can bring success to Roma.’

The deal to turn Midos loan move permenant appeared to stall when Roma increased their asking price based on Midos success while playing for Spurs.

At least we can say that Mido does have taste!
