Following his sending off last weekend against Liverpool, Middlesborough defender Chris Riggott will miss this weekend’s game with high flying Tottenham Hotspur.
25 year old Riggott was sent off by referee Steve Bennett for fouls on Fernando Morientes and Steven Gerard.
The player was further aggrieved by the fact that referee Bennett refused to discuss his decisions with the player after the game according to reports on the Middlesborough website.
The player is quoted as saying ‘I tried to speak to Mr Bennett after the game, but he was not interested. I’m not his biggest fan at the moment.’
