A report emerged on Wednesday from the Daily Mail stating that Tottenham Hotspur were encouraging offers for Danny Rose.
It is claimed that Spurs are going to need to finance player acquisitions by selling on some of their own men and the England international is just one of those in a long list that could be offloaded to help them improve.
However, Rose’s name is one that has caught us off guard a bit, especially as he has been a revelation for us over the last six months or so and has been a key performer in the side.
Arguably, he has been one of our most consistent players in the team and we know we will get nothing but 100% from him when he is on the pitch – something that we cannot necessarily say with confidence regarding other individuals.
Jermaine Jenas also mentioned recently in his Daily Mail column, that he felt Rose had been one of the club’s best players by writing: “I would have no worries about Rose. In the second half of the season, he’s been up there with Moussa Sissoko as Spurs’ best player.”
Let’s not forget, this is a player who looked all-but-destined to leave us last summer after falling out with Mauricio Pochettino, however, that clean slate has worked wonders for everyone at the club after a move failed to materialise for some rather shocking reasons (Football.London).
And, we do not appear to be the only ones dumbfounded by the rumours that Spurs could be prepared to offload Rose this summer.
