Report: Tottenham ‘monitoring’ highly-rated winger, asking price revealed

|

According to Darren Lewis of The Mirror, Tottenham are ‘monitoring’ Andreas Skov Olsen and could battle FC Copenhagen for his signature. The 19-year-old was a standout performer at FC Nordsjælland last season and could be on the move this summer as he has only one year left on his deal.

If Olsen won’t put pen to paper on a contract extension, Nordsjælland could be forced to cash in early rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2020. That could open the door to Tottenham if they’re willing to pay £15m to lure him away from the Right to Dream Park.

Mauricio Pochettino could benefit from another winger as Erik Lamela has struggled for form and fitness at Tottenham. Heung-min Son and Lucas Moura can operate as wide forwards and backup for Harry Kane, but more depth is needed in attack case of injury. Jack Clarke looks on his way from Leeds United, but Olsen could improve the squad too.

The Danish u21 international scored (26) and created (6) 32 goals in 44 games in all competitions as Nords finished sixth in the Superligaen last season. Olsen would surely jump at the chance to join a side like Tottenham this summer, but time will tell if a deal does materialise.
