Report: Tottenham keen on Bournemouth midfielder, future could be decided in August

|

According to Harry Howes of the Daily Star, Tottenham are keen on Ryan Fraser and could battle Arsenal for his signature this summer. The Scottish midfielder has been in fantastic form for Bournemouth, but his future is uncertain at Dean Court.

Fraser’s contract has one year to run and he’s not close to putting pen to paper on an extension. Bournemouth may have to cash in on the 25-year-old if they can’t tie him down to a new deal. Tottenham are one of many clubs looking to capitalise on the situation, but the Daily Star say Fraser’s future may not be decided until August.

The Cherries midfielder scored and created 23 goals in 42 games in all competitions last season, making 93 chances and 24 successful dribbles (45%). Fraser has averaged 31 passes-per-game with 77% accuracy, won 29% of his aerial duels, took 51 shots with 49% accuracy, whipped in 271 crosses with 28% accuracy, blocked 36 shots/passes/crosses, made 20 clearances, 18 tackles and 23 interceptions.

He could improve the Tottenham squad, but it’s unknown how much money Bournemouth are requesting for his signature. Fraser could be a free transfer in 2020 so his value will drop the closer he gets to his contract’s expiration date. Movement could be made nearer to the start of the season.
