Report: Tottenham ‘in pole position’ to sign highly-rated forward for £10m

|

Mauricio Pochettino isn’t short on wingers at Tottenham with Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and even Heung-min Son capable of operating on the flanks, but Mike McGrath of The Sun says the Lilywhites are eyeing up another wide-man who could be available for £10m.

Spurs are reportedly ‘in pole position’ to buy Andreas Skov Olsen and could battle Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Everton for his signature. The 19-year-old has been a standout performer at Nordsjaelland, scoring (27) and creating (7) 34 goals in 51 games in all competitions, and has lit up the Danish Superligaen.

Olsen has scored 22 goals in the top-flight (including the Championship round) and has attracted a lot of interest as a result. Nords finished sixth in the division with 36 points from 26 games and scored more goals (42) than two sides in the top five – OB Odense (35) and Esbjerg fB (32).

The Denmark u21 international has scored two goals in seven appearances for his country at youth level and looks to have a bright future ahead of himself. Pochettino’s track record for developing hot prospects could make Tottenham a more attractive proposition for Olsen, but time will tell if a deal goes through this summer.
