Report Suggests Former Spurs Striker Could Still Return On Reduced Terms

|

With Tottenham Hotspur’s summer up and running now with our first two captures through the door in the shape of Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, we’ve even had some new contracts handed out to first teamers but there’s plenty of work still to be done and one of our bits of business will be in replacing Fernando Llorente.

With the 34-year-old now a free agent after his contract at White Hart Lane came to an end of the summer, whilst the fanbase is mixed, Llorente was well liked by some given his patient approach to playing backup to Harry Kane and plenty thought there might be a 12 month extension on the cards for him to ease the pressure in finding a replacement.

That didn’t seem to be the case but a recent claim from The Guardian has suggested that we could still offer a new deal at far reduced terms and some will wonder if there’s an offer on the table for him to consider amongst his other options this summer.

Another week on the rumour mill though, let’s see if anything new happens.
