Report: Spurs talisman reluctant to wait on rebuild as PL rivals emerge as potential destination

|

Harry Kane is reportedly not willing to wait around on another Tottenham rebuilding project as Manchester United emerge as favourites to sign the Spurs superstar.

According to Goal, the England captain would prefer not to stay at his boyhood club if they are to undergo an extensive rebuild, with the report stating that the Tottenham talisman is keen on a move to Man United, with Kane reluctant to not wait around on Spurs crafting a team that could win them a Premier League title.

Despite a reputation as one of the best strikers in world football and the finest goalscorer Spurs have produced this century, Kane is yet to win a trophy with Tottenham with the 26-year-old striker being on the losing end of a League Cup and Champions League final as well as a second-place finish in the Premier League.

Will Harry Kane leave Tottenham this summer?

Yes

No

With Spurs recently knocked out of the FA Cup and another run to a European final looking unlikely this season, it is easy to see why Kane is beginning to open up his options on a move away from Tottenham, where it has been over a decade since silverware was won. And this news could be a hammer blow for the north London club.

Kane has been the star of the team since his emergence from the youth academy in 2014, yet despite his love for the club and drive to take Tottenham to new heights, trophies and honours still fail to come their way despite their best efforts, and it appears he is beginning to lose hope of bringing silverware to N7 anytime soon.

The 26-year-old striker’s future appears murky following this update, and for Tottenham, they could well lose one of their best ever players to a Premier League rival unless Jose Mourinho works his magic on trying to keep Kane around for an extra season or two.
