Report: Spurs offer senior duo for European striker with Levy unwilling to meet club valuation

|

Tottenham have offered AC Milan Argentine duo Juan Foyth and Erik Lamela as Daniel Levy refuses to meet the Serie A club’s asking price for Krzysztof Piatek.

The Times report that Spurs refuse to meet Milan’s €30m (£25.3m) valuation for the Polish international, resorting in Levy and Tottenham taking a different approach to persuade the Rossoneri into agreeing on a deal for Piatek.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the former Genoa star for the majority of this transfer window as per The Guardian, with Spurs keen to add to their striking options this month with Harry Kane ruled out of first-team action until April as the club’s official website report after tearing his hamstring on New Year’s Day against Southampton.

Piatek...

SIGN HIM, JOSE!

No! Get a defender!

Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with a host of centre-forwards from FC Porto attacker Ze Luis to PSG superstar Edinson Cavani, yet it appears that Piatek is the club’s main target this January, with the AC Milan no. 9 expected to leave Italy after a poor first half of the season with the Milanese giants.

The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Milan this month has led to concerns that Piatek could leave the club this month just over a year after signing from Genoa, and Tottenham seem to be keen on signing the 24-year-old striker who could solve their centre-forward problem with Kane out on the injury table till the end of the season.

With Steven Bergwijn set to sign for the club soon as reported by BBC Sport, Spurs could have one more signing left in the bag this month in what has been a frantic few months for the club, and with Kane in need of being replaced, Piatek could be the striker Tottenham turn too to lead the line for the remainder of the footballing year.
