Report reveals how much Tottenham offered Christian Eriksen to sign a new deal

|

According to Marco Ruiz of AS, Tottenham offered Christian Eriksen a new four-year deal worth £100k-per-week. The 27-year-old is out of contract next summer and could leave for nothing if Spurs can’t tie him down a new deal in before July 2020.

Tottenham haven’t made much progress with contract talks and may be forced to cash in when the winter transfer window opens. They’re trying one last time to get Eriksen to put pen to paper on an extension, but the terms of the deal aren’t too lucrative.

The Danish international currently earns £80k-per-week at Tottenham and was said to have requested parity with Harry Kane’s £200k-per-week wages. Past reports even suggested Eriksen was offered £150k-per-week to stay in North London, so it remains to be seen how much money Spurs really offered him.

With the 27-year-old scoring and creating 154 goals in 288 appearances, he’ll be sadly missed at Tottenham. It’s clear Eriksen doesn’t want to stay amid interest from Real Madrid and Juventus, however, so Daniel Levy has no other choice but to try and get some money from him.

Tottenham’s latest attempt to tie the forward down to a new deal is likely to be rebuffed.
