Report: Mauricio Pochettino puts £60k-per-week Tottenham man on the transfer list

Danny Rose’s future was speculated about throughout last season, but the exit talk died down after he produced some of his best form in a Tottenham shirt. However, subsequent reports and Rose’s post-season interview suggest a departure could be on the cards this summer.

And now Joe Bernstein of the Mail on Sunday believes the £60k-per-week Tottenham defender is surplus to requirements and has been placed on the transfer list. Mauricio Pochettino needs to raise funds to strengthen the squad and has written up a list of names that can be sold this summer. These players have been offered out to other clubs and could be on the move.

In the last two years, Rose has been linked with a move to Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Everton and Manchester City but no deal materialised. There doesn’t appear to be much interest now either. Rose recently turned 29 and wouldn’t come cheap given he’s a regular for club and country.

The defender also has two years remaining on his deal at Tottenham, so Spurs don’t have to sell him for cheap. They can request a high transfer fee that potential suitors may not be willing to meet.
