Report Claims Spurs’ Interest In 25 y/o Depends On Further Sales

|

As the last week came to a close, Tottenham Hotspur fans saw plenty of reports heavily link us with Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.

The 25-year-old Argentine international ticks a number of boxes that would make an interest from manager Mauricio Pochettino at least sound very plausible indeed. He had a reasonable season for Juventus in 2018/19, making 40 appearances across all competitions (and international level) returning eight goals and five assists, and as the speculation began feeding itself there were even some claims that not only had negotiations been opened but the player had now told his club that he wanted to make the move.

As usual, different reports are making slightly different claims with speculation suggesting we failed with an opening £45million offer, with Juventus holding out for £80million (£80million continues to be a popular figure this summer it seems).

Sky Sports took a different take on things and despite The Sun’s positivity, they claimed any further interest from us depending on the sales of Christian Eriksen and Danny Rose – and with Rose apparently of interest to Juventus at around the £25million mark, we get the player + cash suggestion again.

At least Dybala is a new name!
