Report Claims Spurs Have Made A £10million Offer For Championship Starlet

|

Tottenham Hotspur were loosely linked with an interest in Leeds United’s young talent Jack Clarke back in the January transfer window, but with manager Marcelo Bielsa’s side missing out on promotion to the top flight, it’s been claimed this week that we’ve gone back in for the 18-year-old with a £10million opening offer.

The Daily Mail have made the most recent claims of a return for the player, and whilst on the face of it he ticks all the expected Mauricio Pochettino boxes in terms of his talent, and development potential, real information is thin on the ground.

The claims seem more educated guesses rather than anything substantial and it just reads as Wednesday was the day they were going to spin this story for Spurs, with the justification being tighter finances after not achieving a top flight return again.

The little I’ve seen of him, he’s clearly a talent and he wouldn’t be a bad addition at all, but the Mail reference our interest could cool in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish if we secured his signature, but for me they are two entirely different types of players and Clarke would be one for the future.
