Report Claims Spurs Have Championship Suitor For Misfiring Young Talent

|

Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans were curious about what manager Mauricio Pochettino had seen in young Leeds United winger Jack Clarke, but we paid a reported £10million for his services during the summer transfer window and then instantly returned him to his former club so he could continue his development at the Championship level.

It’s fair to say the loan hasn’t been a great one so far, as the 18-year-old has only made two starting appearances so far in the EFL Cup competition, and on a number of occasions, he has failed to even make the substitutes bench for manager Marcelo Bielsa in their league campaign.

Naturally, that has led to plenty of talk about us recalling him in the January window and a recent report from the Nottingham Post have suggested that Nottingham Forest are keeping strong tabs on him, and will be tempted to give him the second half of the 2019/20 campaign out with them at The City Ground.

We already know there’s a recall in place in all loans now at the midway point, but Pochettino can’t be happy with his lack of game time so far as the player is simply stalling.
