Report Claims Spurs Have Agreed Terms With Player, But Fee Yet To Be Agreed

|

Reports have surfaced this week that Tottenham Hotspur have now agreed terms with speculated long term target Tanguy Ndombele, but with a fee yet to be firmly established with French club Lyon, we still face a battle with Juventus for his services.

The 22-year-old has been a regular feature on the rumour mill across the entire 2018/19 campaign but real information about our potential chase has always been lacking in concrete details.

Twitter based outlet Euro United have been pretty consistent in their coverage of the speculation from my memory and this week they offered up.

“@LFC, @juventusfc and @SpursOfficial found a contractual agreement with the representatives of Tanguy ndombele. Mauricio Pochettino made it his priority and directly expressed his interest to the player.”

They followed that by claiming that they understood Spurs would now table ‘a very large offer’ to try and steal a march on other potential suitors.

I know little of Ndombele other than what I’ve read but plenty seem to describe him as being a more natural choice as a replacement for the now departed Mousa Dembele given his style of play.

Given the nature of the rumour mill, the likes of Manchester City are given a namecheck, but if the report is right, Juventus and potentially Liverpool have also agreed terms for the players.

So we’ll have to wait and see whether the French international arrives at White Hart Lane or not over the summer.

Should Spurs Bring This Star Home Over The Summer (Not Bale)
