Report Claims Spurs Are Now In Talks With Atletico Madrid Over £25m England Fullback

|

With all the speculation that we’ve seen about a potential departure for Tottenham Hotspur right back Kieran Trippier, on Tuesday it was being claimed that talks with a Liga side Atletico Madrid were progressing extremely well.

“Trippier Is Really Liked” But It’ll Depend On The Price Demanded

The future of the England right back has been rife on the summer transfer rumour mill this summer after a disappointing season in our shirt, but with links to Napoli falling incredibly quiet, the Daily Mail were claiming yesterday that talks were now at an advanced stage for the 28-year-old.

The speculation naturally built on the departure of Juanfran following the expiry of his contract and again they said the negotiations centred around a potential fee of £25million which has been popular this summer.

Again like all the speculation at this time of year fans will have to see if anything comes of it as just as a rumour seems like it’s really beginning to gain ground, it disappears into the ether and a new club becomes the apparent favourite.

As Tuesday progressed, Sky Sports had given an update and suggested talks were advanced to the point of Trippier heading over to Spain later today for a medical and personal term talks. They also claimed that we had been offered Argentine striker Angel Correa as a potential swap option – but whether we were interested in that kind of deal was unknown.
