Spurs Word On The Tweet

Recognition Is As Good As A Win For Me, So Well Done To This Spurs Man

|

The Ballon d’Or is obviously a prestigious competition in the world of football and Tottenham Hotspur once again have ties given a couple of the nominations yesterday for the latest edition of the trophy.

With the way they draw out the shortlist, frankly I got bored and given Harry Kane’s goalscoring performance at the World Cup over the summer, let alone his efforts in front of the net for us, he was always going to be listed wasn’t he.

As was former player Gareth Bale given his showings for Real Madrid, so even when the news broke I’m not that sure it can be considered news.

With that said, it doesn’t diminish the achievement even if there continues to be a Ronaldo/Lionel Messi love in going on with France Football.

The award will go to a European favourite once more but it’s not the point and the above comments are absolutely correct, Kane should be delighted with the nomination as that’s as good as a win in my eyes.
