Another Cup clash for Tottenham Hotspur and most people were tuning in to the BBC to see whether or not Marine would pull off a surprise FA Cup giant killing this afternoon.

It was certainly a Cup cracker and our non-league hosts were lively, spirited and organised and they had two good chances to get on the scoresheet themselves in the opening 45 minutes. As it was though, we were professional and clearly on top and Alves Morais had two simple tap ins to give us a comfortable lead by the half hour mark.

A fantastic Lucas Moura freekick made it three, and Morais had his hattrick with a pearler of his own to make it 4-0.

There were changes at the break from both sides. Marine took off a defender and put on an attacker, and we made two switches ourselves as we took on a more youthful feel.

If anything the game was slightly more open as we again bossed things, without really testing their goalkeeper. That all changed though as 16-year-old substitute Alfie Devine went through and found the near corner with a tidy finish to make it 5-0.

Despite running the game for us, Dele Alli was replaced shortly after the hour mark as Gareth Bale stepped up his fitness.

It was probably expected, but after that change the game lost a bit of its spark – both from us, but also Marine definitely tiring. We could’ve added to the score but we saw it out professionally.
