According to a report by L’Equipe (via Sport Witness), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
It is suggested that a move for the German winger would cost Spurs around €40million (£35.4m) to complete and the club are perhaps in negotiations about a switch.
The 25-year-old is seen as someone the club can shift in order to balance the books and avoid any potential sanctions that breaking Fair Play Regulations can bring with them.
He is a player who we feel could do well in north London for us as he has proven his quality time and time again for PSG, despite not being a guaranteed starter in their side.
Just last season, Draxler managed to provide his team-mates with 12 assists and score five goals himself in his 46 appearances across all competitions (Transfermarkt), making him a player who could potentially replace Christian Eriksen this summer.
The Dane made it clear that his future could lie away from us if a club ‘bigger’ than us were to come knocking for him (Ekstra Bladet) and the German would be an excellent replacement.
His vision is exceptional, whilst he would offer Mauricio Pochettino a number of different options on the park as he can play as a number 10, a box-to-box midfielder or on either flank with ease.
These fans on Twitter appeared to also feel the same way and believe Draxler could do an excellent job at Tottenham if the club were to sign him. Here is how some of them reacted to the news…

Very. Great finisher on both feet and great eye for a pass. Very creative

Do we need him?
Seriously? He’s a quality player who’d be an asset to any side. Who cares if it’s a priority position? Sign him up. He plays the No.10 role anyway so yes we do need him.

Hope there is truth in the Draxler to Spurs rumour. A two footed wide player can be extremely unpredictable for a defender and I feel he would really work in The PL

Cheap would be a bargain
