Pochettino Gets Two Fitness Boosts Ahead Of Spurs Raising The Curtain Against Villa

|

With Tottenham Hotspur originally coming into the start of the week with eight potential doubts ahead of us opening the 2019/20 Premier League campaign up against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane, a couple of players have now returned to training, so may come into manager Mauricio Pochettino’s thoughts.

The club gave their usual pre-game update on social media when it came to the state of play with injuries and a couple of suspensions that were laid over from the 2018/19 campaign and whilst there are a number still out, we have welcomed back Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama to full training.

Dele Alli remains out with his hamstring problem, but Ben Davies has returned to light training now, so he’s at least building his fitness again. Son Heung-Min is suspended and Juan Foyth is both suspended and injured as we know.

Deadline day capture Ryan Sessegnon is also continuing his rehabilitation having picked up an injury over the summer (hamstring) whilst with the England Under 21 side.
