Although Tottenham Hotspur fell to a 2-1 defeat in our most recent International Champions Cup friendly against Manchester United, the game had plenty of talking points and Academy graduate Oliver Skipp caught the attention of quite a few in the fanbase given his 45 minute performance in the game.
With with no love lost in the game, which saw manager Mauricio Pochettino effectively apologise for our competitive nature in a game still classed as a friendly, 18-year-old Skipp still took his opportunity to impress and take the praise from fans following the tie on social media.
With two Premier League starts and six substitute showings to his name in the 2018/19 campaign, plenty feel we’ll see him easily get into double figures in the coming 2019/20 season as he continues his development and plays a bigger part under Poch in the Cup competitions, and it also goes without saying that fans are also hoping to see more of Troy Parrott given how highly rated he is at the club.
Parrott and skipp are spurs two brightest talents from the academy. Proper excited to see what the future holds for them.

Skipp very impressive. Not just his energy, but I think his passing gets overlooked too. Breaks the line with nice reverse balls.
Parrott was very good again. 17 and showing lots of strength, confidence, and excellent link play.#TOTMUN #SPURS

Positives from the United game:
• Parrot looks ready
• Tanganga is one for the future
• Son and Moura looked sharp
• Skipp bossed it again
• Ndombele looks class
• Can't let Lloris get injured mid season
• We need to keep Rose and get a RB#COYS #THFC— Ishaq (@Shax98) July 25, 2019
Skipp is really really good.
We need to keep Eriksen and buy Dybala won't solve any problem imo. We need fullbacks.— Elsa ???????? ???? (@QueenOfNWHL) July 25, 2019
My take always, skipp, Parrott looked really good. We needs to start thinking of Hugo’s replacement Gazza isn’t good enough. Full back situation is worrying.

Yea spurs lost… but it’s pre season- were weeks behind united for fitness and bossed the second half. Content with that.
Current fitness and form lamela must play at the top of that diamond. Skipp has also been our player of the tour.— Dan Nolan (@dannolan7) July 25, 2019
